Winter break is among us! Holiday festivities have ended, new years celebrations are finished, and many of us have slept off our food comas already. Rather than binge-watching another season of your favorite Netflix series, get outside and embrace the Winter season! Here are some fun and local ice skating rinks to explore during the rest of break.

Winter Lodge: This beautiful outdoor ice rink is perfect for ice skating with friends, and operates rain or shine. It is adorned with lights and Christmas trees, creating a festive and holiday vibe. However, it can get pretty crowded at times, so try to avoid extremely popular times if you’re going with a large group. Their admission and skate rentals are 12 and five dollars, respectively.

Holiday rink Union Square: Right in the center of San Francisco, this is a great spot to stop by and ice skate in after visiting the city. An outdoor rink as well, it is recommended to book tickets in advance. You can pay 18 dollars for admission and skate rental, although it only includes 1.5 hours of skating time. There is a stunning tree decorated with lights and ornaments right by the skating rink.

Vallco mall skating center: This indoor ice rink, located in Cupertino, lies in Vallco shopping mall. Although it is often crowded on weekends, it is a pretty nice and close by rink to go to with friends. Admission and skate rental costs 17 dollars in total.
