On Monday December 9, Mountain View residents gathered at the City Hall plaza to enjoy the annual tree lighting ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by the Mountain View Mayor, Lisa Matichack and accompanied by various other city council members. Prior to the lighting there were multiple performances including MVHS Madrigals Choir and other carolers. Residents also celebrated with food and warm drinks,  as well as various activities for kids such as a snow patch and sledding hill. Earlier this year, the previous tree priorly used for the tree lighting needed to be cut down due to an illness, this year marks the first tree lighting of the new tree planted.
