Monday, May 17

JV/V Baseball v. Santa Clara

Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity Baseball teams played at home against Santa Clara. Junior Varsity won by a small margin, with an overall score of 14 – 13, leaving them with a record of 8 – 4 on the year. Varsity, on the other hand, absolutely swept their opponent across the floor with a score of 6 – 0. They have a record of 11 – 4 on the year. 

V Boys Volleyball v. Harker

The Varsity Boys Volleyball team played against Harker at home. MVHS won with little pushback from the other team, leaving them with a flawless score of 3 – 0. Varsity’s record is now 8 – 2 on the year.

Tuesday, May 18

V Girls Water Polo @ Los Gatos

The Varsity Girls Water Polo team played an away-game against Los Gatos. Unfortunately, MVHS suffered a crushing defeat by a score of 15 – 2.

V Softball @ Milpitas

The Varsity Girls Softball team played an away-game against Milpitas. In the end, MVHS won with an overall score of 3 – 1. Varsity’s record is now 7 – 2 on the year.

V Boys Water Polo @ Los Gatos

The Varsity Boys Water Polo team played against Los Gatos away from home. In the end, MVHS lost astronomically, with a score of 22 – 10. 

V Girls Basketball v. Milpitas

The Varsity Girls Basketball team faced off against Milpitas at an at-home match. MVHS ultimately won with an overall score of 54 – 45, leaving them with a record of 4 – 7. 

Wednesday, May 19

JV Baseball @ Cupertino 

The Junior Varsity Baseball team faced off against Cupertino in an away-game. In the end, MVHS lost with a score of 9 – 3. They now have a record of 8 – 4 on the year. 

V Baseball v. Cupertino

The Varsity Baseball team played at-home against Cupertino. With the help of the home advantage, MVHS swept with a score of 13 – 1. Their record is now 11 – 4 on the year. 

V Boys Basketball v. Milpitas

The Varsity Boys Basketball team played against Milpitas at-home. MVHS ultimately won with an impressive score of 65 – 39. Their record is now 9 – 3 on the year.

V Girls Lacrosse @ Saratoga

The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team played an away-game against Saratoga. Despite lacking the home advantage, MVHS won by a considerable margin, with a score of 12 – 4. Their record is now 8 – 2 on the year. 

Thursday, May 20

V Boys Water Polo v. Palo Alto

The Varsity Boys Water Polo team faced off against Palo Alto in a toe-to-toe at-home match. Even with both sides contributing their best efforts, MVHS barely won with a score of 16 – 14. 

V Softball v. Homestead

The Varsity Girls Softball team played at-home against Homestead. Despite having the home advantage, MVHS was crushed, losing with a score of 13 – 0. Their record is now 7 – 3 on the year.

V Girls Water Polo v. Palo Alto

V Boys Volleyball @ Cupertino

The Varsity Boys Volleyball team played against Cupertino away from home. Fortunately, they won by a slim margin of 3 – 2. Their record remains strong with this victory, being 9 – 2 on the year. 

Friday, May 21

V Boys Basketball @ Milpitas

The Varsity Boys Basketball team played against Milpitas away from home. MVHS won considerably, with a score of 56 – 43, leaving them with a solid record of 10 – 4 on the year. 

JV Baseball v. Cupertino

The Junior Varsity Baseball team played a close at-home game against Cupertino. MVHS barely won with a score of 7 – 6, with the final score being decided in the extra inning. Their record is now 9 – 4 on the year.

V Baseball @ Cupertino

The Varsity Baseball team played an away-game against Cupertino. In a fortunate turn of events, MVHS won by a considerable margin of 12 – 4. Their record is now 12 – 4 on the year.

V Girls Basketball @ Milpitas

The Varsity Girls Basketball team faced off against Milpitas in an away game. MVHS lost with a score of 45 – 36, having a record of 4 – 7 on the year. 

V Boys Lacrosse @ Palo Alto

The Varsity Boys Lacrosse team faced off in an away game against Palo Alto. Unfortunately, MVHS was swept by the opposing team, losing with a score of 13 – 2. Their record is now 0 – 4 on the year.

Saturday, May 22

V Girls Water Polo @ Homestead

Wrestling @ Saratoga

The wrestling team closed off the season off against Saratoga away from home. In fact, the matches were so intense that Tai did literal cartwheels around his opponent to finish an undefeated season as a senior. In the end, MVHS finished strong, winning with a score of 50 – 12 and a yearly record of 5 – 1.

V Boys Water Polo @ Homestead

The Varsity Boys Water Polo team played against Homestead away from home. Although the match was close, MVHS won with a score of 7 – 6.

V Girls Lacrosse v. Gunn The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team faced off against Gunn in an at-home game. The match was decided by an intensely slim margin, as MVHS won with a score of 10 – 9. Their record is now 8 – 2 on the year.
